Our Class Timetable

Starting School

The children have had a busy few weeks making a wonderful start to their Reception Year.  We are so proud of how well they have settled into school life and how kind and thoughtful they are to each other.

The Little Red Hen

Reception have been learning about the story of The Little Red Hen and worked as a team to bake some delicious bread. Well done Reception, we are very proud of your teamwork skills!

Motor Skills

Reception have been working very hard to develop their arm and hand muscles ready for writing.

Home Activities

Home activities are sent out on Fridays and are due back on Wednesdays. The children will receive a weekly task to complete with their family. The tasks consist of a variety of fun activities to do at home or in your local environment: For example taking a walk in your local park and talking about what you see!

They are also expected to read their reading book every night.

Phonics

Take a look at these videos from Twinkl that will help you understand how to say the sounds and activities you could try with your child at home. Click the picture above.

Our Bodies

Reception have been busy learning all about the parts of the body.  They had great fun drawing around their friends and labelling the different parts of their bodies.

BEWARE!

Halloween has come early for Reception! But beware they have been perfecting their potions and spells!

Secret Reader

Reception have had their First Secret Reader of the year. They were so excited to find out whose parent was going to walk through the door and read them a story. A huge thank you to Herbie's mum for a fantastic story. We wonder who it will be next time...
