Mental Health & Wellbeing
If you are concerned about your child’s mental health and emotional wellbeing, please contact Lindsey Barringer, the schools mental health lead via the school office or by emailing lbarringer@caldershaw.rochdale.sch.uk She will be more than happy to discuss your concerns and to signpost you to further support and services.
Within school we have a children’s counsellor and a mental health practitioner that work with our pupils each week. If you feel that your child may benefit from this type of support, please contact Mrs Barringer to discuss a referral.
All our children benefit from our MyHappyMind programme, which is delivered each week, embedded in our curriculum and celebrated in our assemblies. Some of our children also access our Starlight Room sessions weekly, others may take part in groups such as Wellbeing Dominoes; Chatterboxes and Talkabout, all of which support their emotional wellbeing and social development.
Please see the links below for some useful advice to support the wellbeing of both children and their parents.
